- Dealership situated in Midrand is looking for a Master Technician to join their team**PURPOSE**
- To provide expertise, advise, support and coordinate daily team tasks in the workshop for repairs and servicing function in line with expected quality standards and housekeeping as per agreed standard operating procedures.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct fault diagnosis and repairs on range of KIA vehicles.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on KIA vehicles.
- Carry out inspection of own work performed and that of apprentice working with you.
- Complete job cards for purpose of costing and vehicle hand-over

**PROCESS AND GOVERNANCE**
- Conduct research and gather data to provide input to operational reporting and decision making processes.
- Conduct research to identify new opportunities/technologies which could result in better operational processes.
- Define standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide specialist advice to enable planning for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services.
- Provide specialist advice to identify and develop solutions to improve quality of processes and services.
- Assist the workshop team with the identification and resolution of problems and provide solutions that lead to improved operational service delivery and quality.
- Deliver on agreed performance targets according to set procedures and service level agreements.
- Ensure that the workshop has the correct tools and equipment in fully functioning condition, in accordance with industry and OEM standards.
- Ensure that work is completed in adherence to organisationally approved health and safety requirements and standards.
- Escalate quality and product problems to the importer as per the Importers policy.

- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness and reduction of financial wastage.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness andreduction of financial wastage related to materials or equipment.

- Min grade 12 / N3 / Qualified motor mechanic
- At least 5 years' experience as a qualified mechanic with excellent diagnostic ability
- Proven BMW or similar brand experience will be advantageous
- Solid knowledge of fault finding and diagnostic machines
- Successful demonstration of diagnostic ability
- Apprenticeship or Section 28 trade test requirement
- Computer Literacy Proficient
- Industry legislative compliance/ knowledge
- M Compliance (Vehicles)
- Valid driver's license
