**Responsibilities**:

- **Welding Operations**: Perform welding operations on aluminium and stainless steel components according to blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures.
- **Material Preparation**: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping components as necessary to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, including visual inspection and testing for strength and durability.
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve welding issues such as cracks, distortions, and defects, implementing corrective measures to maintain quality and integrity.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others, including proper handling of welding equipment and materials.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineering and design teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications, providing input on design considerations and manufacturing feasibility.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure they remain in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and inspection results, for quality assurance and traceability purposes.

**Requirements**:

- **Welding Experience**: Proven experience in welding aluminium and stainless steel, with proficiency in various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and ARC welding.
- **Certifications**: Possession of relevant welding certifications or qualifications is highly desirable, demonstrating proficiency and adherence to industry standards.
- **Technical Aptitude**: Strong understanding of metallurgy, welding principles, and fabrication techniques, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- **Attention to Detail**: Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a focus on producing high-quality welds and finished products.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Effective problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective measures.
- **Communication**: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and other stakeholders.
- **Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- **Safety Consciousness**: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety protocols and regulations related to welding operations.
- **Education**: A high school certificate or equivalent qualification is required. Additional vocational training or certification in welding or metal fabrication is advantageous.

**Salary**: R10 000,00 - R16 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Montague Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Welding: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- TIG/Argon Welding Certification (preferred)
