Specialities Manager

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

To control and manage the Specialities Department (Flat Bed Die Cutter, Shrink Tunnel and Stitcher machines) ensuring that objectives are met in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environment and People.

**REPORTING TO: Operations Manager**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate and direct production work flow; ensure quality standards, production efficiencies and timely completion of work orders are met
- Ensure training of shift’s production personnel; update and maintain training documentation
- Review daily production reports
- Assist with development and maintenance of cost effective efficiency and quality improvements
- Executing operating strategies and plans, and achieving company goals and objectives.
- Consistently achieve waste and quality defect targets
- Supervise subordinates during planned maintenance.
- Communicate with Planning, Sales and QC.

**KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS**
- Financial acumen
- Good written and verbal communication

**REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Matric
- Production Management Diploma or equivalent
- Must be SETA trade tested or RPL equivalent
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a Managerial/ Supervisory position
- Must be computer literate to use CTI and ABACA software.
- Must be able to work under pressure and be a problem solver.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Faure, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
