Mechanical Teamleader

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Formal Trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter, and Turner or Millwright
- 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance within the API, FMCG, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry with at least 2 years’ experience in the API/ Pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
- Experience in the use of SAP In2Rep would be an advantage.

**BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary)**:

- Daily planning and supervising of artisan and trade hand work (planned and unplanned maintenance tasks).
- Co-ordinate planning of relevant maintenance tasks with the Operations Department (or relevant end-user department) as well as other Engineering Team Leaders and Management.
- To provide artisans and trade hands with supervisory and maintenance support. Assist in fault finding and ensure rapid breakdown response.
- Manage all relevant Engineering records (paper and SAP records) and ensure timely and accurate capture of work completed by staff under your control.
- To ensure that all maintenance work within the area of responsibility is conducted in compliance with company, OHSE, and statutory requirements.
- To complete all planned maintenance tasks on time and up to the required company standard.
- Plan and supervise relevant external contractors.
- Manage training of staff under your control.
- To ensure that the plant and facilities are maintained to a high standard of reliability and safety.
- To propose modifications, repairs, and upgrades of equipment and facilities to Engineering Management and to ensure that agreed-upon projects are implemented successfully.
- Provide after-hours standby when scheduled.
- Lead 5S implementation in the Engineering Workshop and assist in the implementation of DMS for the staff under your control.
