**Minimum Requirements**
- **B.Ed or B.Mus plus a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)**:
- Coaching and mentoring of new academic staff.
- **SACE registered**:
- **Extensive IEB experience**:
- **COVID19 Vaccination Certificate is required**:
- **FET Dramatic Arts**:
- **Strong culture management experience and background**:
- Designing, implementing and monitoring an appropriate individualised approach to education through assessment, educational program design and delivery, resource development, data collection and reporting.
- Ensuring that planning is completed and is carried out consistently and collaboratively.
- Ensuring that planning themes are accurately introduced, that classroom displays reflect current learning, and that learning objectives are clearly communicated to the learners.
- Ensuring that staff are supported in the development of their teaching and learning programs.
- Ensuring that educational programming i.e. design, delivery, assessment and reporting is regularly monitored.
- Ensuring the day to day planning and record keeping by staff is regularly monitored.
- Motivating and encouraging staff to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Regular classroom observations with targeted feedback of next steps.
- Ensuring that resources are linked to planning, teaching and learning.
- Working with various curriculum teams to assist with the development, implementation, evaluation and continuous revision of the curriculum.
- Coordinating and overseeing the selection of textbooks. Maintaining an inventory list of all resources and textbooks which includes dates of purchase.
- Ensuring that book and portfolio moderation takes place and that records are kept of these.
- Planning and monitoring the usage of informal and formal assessment strategies to assess student learning.
- Coordinating and supporting the development, documentation and delivery of individual student targets throughout the school.
- Checking that report comments are accurate and provides accurate feedback about the learners’ progress.
- Constructing accurate informative and timely reports to students and their parents about student learning and achievement.
- Ensuring that student data/marks are analysed and that a plan is in place to support low/high ability learners.
- Attending termly marks meetings to look at an intervention plan for underperforming learners.
- Ensuring that all marks are analysed.
- Weekly departmental meeting to ensure that all new information is cascaded and shared with staff. Ensuring that accurate minutes are shared with the DOA and OH.
- Attending weekly HOD meetings and ensuring that pertinent information is shared with educators in the department.
- Ensuring that the school management team are aware of any issues within the department.
- Tracking teacher feedback to parents on a weekly basis.
- Working individually and collectively with staff to ensure that they are properly trained and know how to use curriculum programs and resources.
- Overseeing testing programs and the analysis of these tests.
- Providing constant and ongoing feedback of teaching standards.
- Gathering resources that aid in the implementation of teaching plans.
- Ensures that the curriculum caters for all students and identifying students who may be impacted by the curriculum (Gifted and talented/Special educational needs.
- Providing ongoing training for staff during the implementation of new programs.
- Any additional tasks or duties as requested by the Operational Head.
