Head Housekeeper

ANEW Resort Hunters Rest is looking for an Executive Housekeeper. This individual will be responsible in ensuring all Guest’s Rooms and Public Areas are cleaned in a consistent and professional manner, creating results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the Company.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for the overall running of Housekeeping department of the hotel, cost effectively and to required standard, in accordance with the Hotel’s operational requirements
- Supervises all personnel in these departments
- Check all rooms on cleanliness, readiness and maintenance issues and is responsible for ensuring the Minimum Standard Operating Procedures are being met
- Responsible for staff training
- Forecast anticipated volumes of business and schedule staff accordingly
- Maintain records of stock taking etc, working to our budgeted amounts
- Responsible for the control of all stock and the control, maintenance and cleaning of cleaning equipment and stocks.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have Matric, hospitality management diploma will be advantageous
- 2 -5 years’ experience in similar position advantageous
- Knowledge of the Apex Property Management System essential
- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook & Explorer)
- Good planning, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Must be guest service driven
- Ability to work shifts
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and telephonic
- Must be able to use initiative & work unsupervised
- Have meticulous attention to detail.
