**Job Purpose**
- To develop and maintain best practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations (where applicable) in order to facilitate world class risk management and/or attainment of strategic objectives.**Responsibilities**:

- Extracting/ Analysing data and presenting in a readable format to optimize pricing at a segmental level
- Continuous ad-hoc queries and presenting of such to relevant stakeholders
- Primarily focused on VAF porfolio pricing (demand and supply side pricing), with HL pricing as a secondary focus
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes; models and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
- Development of differentiated; superior solutions (solution engineering) that meet stakeholder and business requirements through analysis; business requirements gathering and designs validation.
- Ensure product and or solution design is congruent with the required business specifications through meeting stakeholder requirements timeously.
- Manage client expectations by liaising with stakeholders through the model build process as well as the systems and strategy development process
- Ensure accuracy and feasibility through impact analysis for newly developed products.
- Providing advice to key operational areas ensuring optimal resource allocation and desired results through analysis and communication
- Ensure continuity and record keeping through formal sign-off at forums and by creating documentation
- Ensuring the correct return is generated on new business.
- Assisting in the testing and implementation of credit and pricing changes
- Analysis of credit risk and policy recommendations based on data analysis/statistical methods.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Minimum Experience Level- Post graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematics, CFA/ FRM/CQF
- 3-5 years relevant experience in an analytical environment
- Secured Lending Experience essential (portfolio pricing)
- Experience in modelling in SQL, SAS, STATA or Machine Learning
- Experience with cross department stakeholders (sales, finance, operations, BITE)
- Experience in modelling (portfolio pricing) in a retail banking environment as well as general predictive modelling and analytical problem solving using SAS, SQL, Advanced Excel
- SAS or other equivalent database query language (SQL,PowerBI)

- Relevant degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related
- 3-5 years relevant experience in an analytical environment

- Developing ways to optimize pricing and minimize risks
- Managing conflict situations
- Influencing stakeholders to obtain buy-in for complex concepts and ideas
