Fish Griller

An established restaurant situated in Parktown JHB is seeking an experienced fish griller to join its team in the BOH to grill and prepare various forms of seafood such as calamari, kingklip and prawns.
Grade 12 Minimum
**Working Hours**: 180 hours per week (overtime capped at 40 hours extra). Includes weekends
**Experience**: Atleast 2-3 years’ fish grilling experience required
**Reporting Line**: Kitchen Manager
Fish griller experience is _**ESSENTIAL**_
**Qualities**: Ability to work under pressure and with diligence. Must be a clean and presentable individual.
**Demographic**: No preference. Must be able bodied and presentable.
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Braise and grill fish and vegetables with a high degree of skill.
- Assist in maintaining inventory by tracking, labelling, and replacing key ingredients.
- Communicate with the kitchen manager and waiter staff to ensure the timely delivery of all meals.
- Follow all relevant food health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a workstation that is both clean and sanitary.
- Maintaining high quality and hygiene standards as per restaurant standards
- Manage all preparation and presentation of food.
- Ensuring correct portion control are adhered to.
- Ensuring the food is delivered timeously and without delay.
- Flexible to work overtime when required.
**Salary**: R5 000,00 - R6 000,00 per month
**Experience**:
- Fish grilling: 2 years (required)
