Maintenance Fitter and Turner

Our client, a leading engineering concern specializing in plastic injection moulding for the bag in the box liquid industry, wants to appoint an Assembly Maintenance Fitter. The successful person will be responsible for building production machines as per the approved drawings. The job incumbent maintains the machines and ensures that down time is limited.

Tasks/Duties:

- Build production machines according to approved drawings;
- Order the parts, equipment and tools to build the machines;
- Ensure the machines are operational once building phase is complete;
- Implement a preventative and effective maintenance plan;
- Ensure repairs and replacement of machines are done in good time to prevent down time;
- Implement the necessary Health and Safety measures to ensure machines, equipment and tools are in good working condition.
- Housekeeping should done to keep the work area clean and tidy.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical Engineering Diploma
- N3 Fitting and Turning
- Qualified Maintenance Fitter and Turner
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Mechanically minded
- Excellent multi-tasking ability
- Good planning and co-ordination skills
- Good language skills (English and Afrikaans)
- Practical problem solving ability
- Practical insight ability
- Computer literate (MS Office)

**Salary**: R18,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Epping, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
