Usher

We are seeking for a diligent usher to welcome and tend to the bereaved families. As an usher, you will be required to assign client to their seats and provide guests with information such as program details and the location of the restrooms, refreshments, and emergency exits.

To be a successful usher, you should have a pleasant demeanour and excellent interpersonal skills. An usher should be able to easily identify clients’ needs and provide exceptional customer service.

**Usher Responsibilities**:

- Welcoming clients in a polite and friendly manner.
- Direct clients to their sit during the funeral service.
- Responsible for marketing the product of Kingdom Blue by handing out of pamphlets and explaining kingdom blue services and pricing.
- Sells polices to new clients and retains the existing ones.
- Informing clients about the location of the restrooms and exits.
- Serving refreshments to the clients.
- Tending to client’s comfort and assisting them with any questions or problems.
- Assisting clients with disabilities or other impairments, as needed.
- Monitoring client’s activity to ensure the safety of the even and smooth running of the service.
- Enforcing event rules and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring that the lobby and facilities are neat and organized.
- Help clients as they enter and exit family cars.

**Usher Requirements**:

- Matric - Grade 12
- 1 year experience in hospitality.
- Drivers License
- Consistent professional, neat presentation and friendly demeanour.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- The ability to manage crowds and remain calm in stressful situations.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
