A well-established FMCG company & Branding agency seeks the services of a Financial Accountant to join their team based in Johannesburg North.
Minimum skills and knowledge required
Relevant diploma, degree or experience in finance or accounting
3-5 years' experience in a full function accounting role
FMCG experience is non-negotiable
SAGE experience is non negotiable
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is a non-negotiable
Strong management experience
Key performance areas
Document/ process financial transactions by entering account information (specifically, but not limited to capturing bank statements, petty cash recons and ad hoc journals required).\
Monthly preparation of Payroll, submission of relevant statutory reports.
Verify, substantiate, and reconcile the balance sheet and income statement on a monthly basis.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information and preparing monthly management reports (balance sheet and income statement and other relevant information).
Maintains accounting controls.
Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Prepares payments by verifying documentation.
Assist in managing debtors / debtors payments.
Proficient in Excel and SAGE
