**A typical day may include**

- Vetting and drafting of commercial agreements (including joint venture-, supply chain-, confidentiality
- and commodity sale agreements)
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced and fast changing environment and deliver quality work
- Provide relevant and advanced internal and external legal training
- Handle legal compliance and governance matters
- Policy drafting
- Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, opinions and contracts for clients utilising sound legal and commercial principles
- Attend internal and external meetings and provide legal input where required
- Identify opportunities for new business
- Contribute to company publications
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Exposure to environmental, property and mining law

**Qualifications we look for**

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Degree Legal / LLB
- Admitted Attorney or Advocate
- Experience or exposure to mining companies
- Masters qualification in commercial law or equivalent an advantage
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (transactions) an advantage

**Experience we look for**
- 6 years experience in similar role
- Able to take instructions with the ability to manage a crisis situation
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Admin experience
- Specialised knowledge of field of law for which appointment is made and sound general legal knowledge
- Experience in report writing and high proficiency in the English language is critical
- Good understanding and knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, law in general and corporate governance
