**INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) COMMERCIALISATION SCOUT**

The University of Limpopo's Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is seeking a highly

will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and commercializing intellectual

property assets resulting from the university's research and innovation activities. This

position requires close collaboration with researchers, inventors, industry partners,

and stakeholders to facilitate the successful translation of research discoveries into

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree (NQF 8) in LLB, Agricultural Economics, Economics,

Marketing or Business Management.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in areas such as intellectual

property, market research and analysis.
- Strong understanding of the higher education sector and understanding of the

South African innovation ecosystem and funding opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Actively identify and evaluate inventions and technologies with commercial

potential.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including market research, competitive

analysis, and intellectual property landscape assessments.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders to facilitate

technology transfer and commercialization opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IP assets and commercialization

activities.
- Represent the TTO at industry events, conferences, and workshops.
