**Overall Job Purpose**:
Our client is engaged in a large strategic business and IT transformation and part of this roadmap includes the implementation of SDWAN capabilities, Cloud set-up, and migration of on-premise solutions to the cloud.

The role is one of dedicated Project Manager for the various projects that will be executed in IT Infrastructure in support of the bigger portfolio of work:

- Initiate, plan and structure the projects, proactively and holistically leads and supports all projects;
- Provide the necessary leadership, analysis, planning, and design insights to actively support the deployment of the projects.

**The Person**:

- IT Degree or Diploma.
- Min10 years Network, Infrastructure, or related experience.
- Min 10 years experience in project/programme management.
- Knowledge and experience of SDWAN and Cloud solutions.
- Experience in using project tools.

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:

- Strong project planning, estimation, design and implementation skills.
- Demonstrate leadership in the project environment.
- Resource allocation.
- Project planning and control.
- Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
- Ability to elicit co-operation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, business units, suppliers, and other departments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

**The Job**:
General:

- Set-up and define the project implementation strategy and approach and agree with PMO in terms of the most effective delivery approach.
- Lead, prepare for, and actively participate in QA and Design Authority (and other bodies, e.g. Functional Design Forums, Group Design Council, Steering Committee and Project status) activities as these relate to the portfolio.
- Serve as a liaison (interpretation layer) between the Group and the SI Project teams.
- Ensure a quality design, well-tested and well-deployed solutions.
- Identify any issues, and risks, escalate to portfolio management and own mitigating actions.
- Identify any business impacts on the project and work with teams (e.g. Change Management, Integration).
- Deliver project objectives within the allocated time, budgeted cost.
- Manage the SI partner to ensure successful delivery as per statement of work.
- Manage and control project budgets.
- Manage and control project risks and issues.
- Communicate effectively within the project.
- Lead and direct multiple projects.
- Ensure effective handover of the implemented solutions into the Operations environment.

Change Management:

- Support Group IT and Project Change Management team with Change Management activities.
- Give input to impact assessments for system changes.
- Ensure Solution Architects are equipped with relevant information and knowledge (coach and train) to support business readiness and manage execution for go-live activities.
- Give input to role definition and mapping to IT Domain Leads.

Quality Management:

- Set-up Project Governance that will provide the structure, processes, decision-making models, and tools for managing the project, while supporting and controlling the project for successful delivery.
- Ensure alignment to PMO project delivery requirements and stage gate checks.
