Bulk & Utilities Superintendent

Process and project management:

- Supervision of operational activities to support bulk / trade sales
- Liaising with Sales and Admin
- Liaising with transporters
- Production management and scheduling
- Undertake and supervise relevant projects which the Department may initiate
- Manage budgets and expenditure to ensure that the department meets its goals while staying within the company’s budget guidelines

Coordination and administration:

- Monitoring operational data, such as equipment and labour availability, to identify any problems that may need to be addressed promptly
- Coordinating with other departments such as Sales, production, planning, and procurement to ensure that operations run efficiently
- Reviewing all relevant processes to ensure that they meet all company standards for quality, safety and legal compliance
- Oversee operations staff to ensure that they perform their jobs correctly and efficiently
- Oversee the activities of the company’s physical plant, including construction projects and maintenance procedures such as cleaning and maintaining of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all operational activities
- Coordinating with other departments within the business to ensure that the appropriate resources are available to meet project demands
- Checking on the status of projects at various stages of development to ensure that they are progressing as planned

Planning:

- Work with other departments to ensure that all operational processes are running smoothly and efficiently
- Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures when needed
- Generate regular reports on operational performance and submit to senior management
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions to optimize efficiency

SHEQ:

- Adhere to all compliance, quality and safety standards

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- High degree of computer literacy including knowledge of MS Office Suite
- SAP (B1/ECC) knowledge will be advantageous
- Project Management expertise
- Matric
- BSc Degree or diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years’ experience in manufacture/production environment and utilities operational experience
