**Independent Contractor - IT Project Manager - Illovo -12 Months Contract-Salary R450.00 Per Hour**

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

In this role you will be a primary point of contact for our clients and a liaison between our staff and project resources. Your responsibilities will include working closely with our Developers, Business Analysts in managing the organization implementation projects and also be the first point of contact for our Help Desk. To be successful, you will need to have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills; ability to motivate teams to complete projects in a timely manner; work well with teams and good communication and interpersonal skills.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Develop a project plan for implementations.
- Accurately estimate a variety of project tasks
- Understand and establish priorities.
- Identify resource requirements and assign resources to project.
- Monitor performance of project tasks
- Access and manage risks.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
- Anticipate issues or conditions that may impact the original estimate or project budget.
- Review and compile consultant reports and expenses
- Prepare Project Activity reports in a timely manner.
- Document project meetings
- Compile meeting minutes and project deliverables
- Provide management with regular status updates.
- Familiar with MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Projects, and equivalent tools.
- Planning and organising
- Translates objectives into specific plans.
- Prepares clear plans and a strategic focus before starting to work on projects or implement initiatives.
- Organises, prioritises, and schedules tasks so they can be performed within budget and with the efficient use of time and resources.
- Measures progress and monitors performance and results
- Achieves goals in a timely manner, despite obstacles encountered, by organising, reprioritising, and re-planning.
- Translates objectives into specific plans.
- Sets goals and objectives relevant to the function and focuses on the citizen’s/customer’s needs.
- Attends to and manages multiple tasks and details by focusing on key priorities and delegation to others.
- Identifies and allocates resources.
- Develops contingency plans for potential problems.
- Co-ordinates work efforts when necessary to produce deliverables.

- Views opposing parties as equal partners in terms of their right to express their own viewpoints.
- Patiently listens to and makes an effort to understand other viewpoints.
