Popular Game Lodge in the Klerksdorp, North West area is looking to hire a receptionist/events coordinator

**1.** **Guest services/relations**:
a. Inform guests of hotel rates and services

b. Make and confirm reservations for guests

c. Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive and timely manner.

d. Answering phones from prospective customers and guests, taking messages and delivering them

e. Listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone

f. liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests

**2.** **Check-in/Check-out**:
a. Welcoming guests and checking their details against their bookings

b. Allocating guests their rooms and providing keys

c. Preparing room bills and ensuring prompt payments

d. Checking guests out, taking payments and returning deposits

**3.** **Administrative duties**:
a. Completing administrative tasks such as filing and photocopying

b. Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests

c. Enforce rules and policies of the lodge

d. Maintain a neat and orderly front desk and reception area

e. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures etc.), identify any special requests and check reports for accuracy.

**4.** **Event Coordination**:
a. To liaise with all clients, ascertaining their requirements and co-ordinating these needs to ensure the successful execution of the function.

b. - To show the client the various facilities available, advising and discussing the merits of the various options.

c. - To monitor and control provisional and confirmed function bookings, and ensure that no double bookings occur.

d. - To up-date function sheet and advise all departments once confirmation of the function is received.

e. - To ensure that all necessary requirements as per guests/group have been ordered and are in position and in working order.

f. - To ensure that all payments are received before the event and afterwards if any money is outstanding.

g. - To ensure that all charges have been charged to the clients/organizers.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
National Senior Certificate (Matric) - Required

Further education and training - Preferred

2 years receptionist/front desk agent experience

Inn Keeper knowledge and experience (preferred)

Microsoft Office proficient

Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Sound telephone etiquette.

Presentable, friendly and outgoing personality

Passion for the outdoors and living in a “rural” area

**POSITION**:
Live in position

Shift work

No meals included with accommodation

**Salary**: R6,000.00 - R8,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Klerksdorp, North West: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
