Platemaker

CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking to fill the position of a Platemaker. The position will report to the Pre-press Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A minimum of 3 years platemaking experience is a must
- Knowledge of plate output devices as well as knowledge and control experience of plate output devices
- Team player but must be able to work independently as well
- Must be able to follow procedures strictly
- Able to work towards deadlines
- Strong administrative skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven history of reliability, timekeeping and attendance
- Able to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
- Attention to detail as well as accuracy
- Safety-conscious
- Must be physically able to operate a forklift and a clamp machine
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Attend training programmes identified for the position and department is compulsory
- Willing to work overtime as and when required.
- Willing to work shifts (both day, night and weekends)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform all plate making operating requirements of the Prepress production areas
- Minor administrative tasks (data recording)
- Provide support to the Prepress team
- Conduct machinery checks and maintenance tasks daily
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Prepress Manager

**Type**

Permanent (with 6 months’ probation)

**Standard hours**

Will be required to work rotational shifts (day, night and weekend)

**Salary/wage**

A market related wage is offered based on experience and skills set
