Despatch Manager

Our client is looking for a strong and experienced Despatch Manager to join their team in a fast paced FMCG meat environment.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric
- BTech or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent is advantageous
- At least 5 years despatch management or supervisory experience, preferably in a food environment
- Thorough knowledge of frozen food and meat business practices
- Strong computer skills
- Meat Matrix - Essential
- Good people skills and the ability to handle extreme pressure
- Highly organised and detail orientated
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
- Must be available to work shifts and retail hours
- Own transport essential

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Management of the despatch department
- Implementing systems to achieve mínimal wastage and stock loss
- Knowledge of FIFO
- Placing daily stock orders with production to ensure accurate stock holdings while mínimalizing wastage
- Ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food hygiene and safety requirements
- Overseeing despatch, receiving and warehousing
- Reporting on stock figures weekly and monthly
- Personnel management development and training, absenteeism and sick leave, recruitment
- Overseeing HR and financial administrative functions
