Hello, Business Intelligence Manager

This role is within FNB Retail Loans under the Lending Pillar for First Rand Group, looking after the BI/Data landscape for Personal Loans and Revolving facilities covering origination, credit risk, fraud, servicing and collections. The role requires an in-depth understanding of business processes, end-to-end business intelligence solutioning and align those solutions to business objectives.

The role will also entail managing a team of high performing BI/Data professionals and provide both technical and strategic leadership to the team. The position is also tasked with developing and executing innovative BI strategies, migrating the BI platform, overseeing the creation of roadmaps for data-driven decision making and ensuring the effective engagement of stakeholders across the organization. The incumbent will champion innovation in BI processes which contribute to the competitive edge of our business within the broader dynamic landscape of financial services, thus providing more to our customers.
- Have a strong knowledge of credit, lending and transactional banking products and channels will be advantageous.
- Deep domain knowledge of the credit value chain and Customer Analytics across all transactional products.
- Strong level of competency in the development of data models and Enterprise data warehousing within a large organization.
- A strong understanding of Data Visualization will be advantageous.
- Understand both the technical points of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, as well as the business drives and needs.
- Stakeholder management across various areas across FirstRand Group.
- Has prior management experience and able to lead a dynamic team of Data Professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualification: B Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems\Technology or Engineering

Preferred Qualification: Honours Degree

Experience: 5 - 8 years' experience in a Business Intelligence and/or Data Engineering environment
- Proven track record of building end-to-end Business Intelligence Solutions.
- A solid level of proficiency in SQL is a minimum requirement for this role.
- Knowledge of Control-M and Power BI or QlikView required.
- Previous Team Lead experience in a Business Intelligence environment.
- Data Engineering experience in Ad Initio and Teradata is advantageous.
- Exposure to CDP (Cloudera, or any other "Big data" tech) preferred.
