Employer**:Complementary Medicine Company**

**A probation period of 3 months will be implemented, after which permanent employment will commence.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Identify New Markets and Understanding of products**
- List the products with pharmacies/ health shops not currently stocking the brand
- Introduce, promote and actively sell the company’s products
- Meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Execute marketing strategies for present and future product ranges.
- Identify, together with the management team, the need for new products and ventures into new markets.
- Monitor sales of products.
- Provide and co-ordinate product training when necessary.
- Be up to date with current affairs in the industry.
- Conduct research in order to identify competitors, their product strategies, future requirements of the market, market trends and identify areas of potential sales successes.

**Customer Relations**
- Schedule appointments and visit customers
- Create, develop and maintain good business relationships
- Disseminate hard and soft copy catalogues/ information to customers
- Effective listening and questioning skills
- Ensure customers are kept abreast with regards to any changes involving the company or the products they are using
- Inform customers of any specials/promotions
- Update customers’ contact details in company database
- Prepare quotations
- Submit quotations/pro-forma invoices within 24 hours of request
- Follow-up on quotations/pro-forma invoices
- Complete tenders accurately and submit prior to deadlines.
- Monitors sales/backorders of products.
- Stays current on new product information by reading and filing correctly (hard and electronic copies)
- Deliver demonstration products and stock to customers when necessary.
- Assist with sales support to Branches.
- Attend and participate in Sales Meetings.
- Ensure the achievement of set annual sales targets

**Promotions and Exhibitions**
- Identify and manage exhibitions and congresses with Management and Support staff
- Identify any other advertising and promotional requirements for the company
- Ensure availability of marketing and sample material with the assistance of the Internal Sales Support Staff

- Provide input on proposed special offers to Sales Manager in order to drive sales in a specific area

**Supplier Relations**
- Keep supplier contact details up to date
- Utilise the latest information/ catalogues from the supplier and their company Ensure that applicable queries are escalated to suppliers when necessary.
- Build on relationships with principals to ensure support channels are present when required

**General**
- Submit sales reports to management
- Forecast sales
- Provide support for any queries relating to products to both customers and Sales Team
- Execute Marketing Plans when new products are launched
- Co-ordinate projects
- Manage conflict/complaints in an effective and professional manner
- Develop a position of increased influence and a network
- Create and share knowledge base with colleagues and customers
- Solve problems on own
- Be a team player
- Use one’s initiative to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
- Provide input on price list updates
- Travel both locally and internationally for sales or training related purposes

Ensure that market intelligence is communicated to the relevant stakeholders in order to assist with decision making

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelors degree (desirable)
- Marketing and/or Sales qualification would be an advantage
- Exposure to complementary medicine
- At least 2 years’ experience in sales pharmaceutical/OTC/Complementary products is compulsory

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Computer literate in MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; and Outlook)
- Articulate with strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to adapt and learn new skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Cope well under pressure.

**Remuneration**

R20 000 - R30 000 CTC per month depending on experience

**Job Types**: Internship, Commission
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
