Job Description - IT Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up, Install and Support computers and necessary peripheral devices.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Check computer hardware to ensure functionality.
- Install and configure and support standard and appropriate software according to specifications.
- Develop, Install and Maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance. A clear understanding of IP addressing and configuration is essential.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
- Install and configure physical infrastructure such as Networks, Network Devices, Server Infrastructure.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as **IT Technician** or relevant position
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
