Maintenance Plumber

**Purpose of the Role**

As a Plumber in our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and installing plumbing systems and fixtures, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks on these systems. You will also be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting plumbing issues and providing recommendations for solutions on the issues identified.

**Key performance areas**
- Install, maintain, and repair pipes, and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
- Install pipes and fixtures; assemble fittings and valves; and modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for installations and services.
- Perform inspections of plumbing systems to ensure quality control, adherence to all relevant codes, and to identify and replace any worn or damaged parts.
- Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems to ensure compliance with building code.
- Geyser repairs and replacements
- Drain unblocking and installation.
- General plumbing repairs
- Clean and maintaining grease traps.

**Qualification**
- Red seal trade certificate in plumbing

**Experience**
- Minimum 3 years' experience post qualification
- Experience with solar geyser heating is advantageous.

**Skills and Competencies**
- Ability to meet the attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal competence on a technical level.
- Excellent troubleshooting and time-management skills.
- Basic computer and smartphone competency. experience in hospitality

**Knowledge**
- In-depth knowledge of service, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing systems.

- Valid driver's license
- Sober habits
- Willingness to perform on call standby duties and/or overtime as required.
