We are looking for a Technical Writer for our client in Boksburg.

QUALIFICATIONS : - Degree /qualified in an engineering or technical discipline or have demonstrated technical experience.
- 3 to 5 years experience in a related role e.g. technical writing, editing and information design.
- Competent with technical writing tools such as MS Word, Flare,

etc.
- Computer literate with experience in Adobe and 3D CAD

software.
- Ability to edit /develop content to standards.
- Ability to structure information into creative modern user friendly

standards

variety of technical audiences on various technical levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and fast paced.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS : - Working Knowledge of ASD-STE100 will be an advantage
- Working Knowledge of ASD-S2000M will be an advantage
- Working Knowledge of SME.
- Working with Multi-language translation software.

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIES

: - Create user documentation for a variety of material, including

how to guides, bulletins for alternatives/changes, maintenance

and instruction manuals.
- Write technical guides for new products, sales brochures,

advertisements, marketing brochures and specifications.
- Work with internal departments to establish technical

specifications. (Production, Procurement, Engineering, Sales etc.)
- Use drawings, specifications, mock-ups and samples to integrate

into documentation.
- Simplify technical documentation for sales and marketing.
- Ensure quality of assignments/documentation to set standards

(clarity, conciseness, style and terminology).
- Institute and mange change management of technical

documentation.
- Maintain/compile document database.
- Provide training and guidance of technical elements to sales,

production, procurement etc.
- Use or produce photos, drawings, images, sketches and diagrams

for training/technical illustration purposes.
- Create effective in build and assembly training publications where

applicable.
- Manage, maintain and generate/ maintain operators and parts

books.
