Incoming Inspector

**KEY PURPOSE OF JOB**

NewSpace Systems is a product development and manufacturing aerospace engineering company in Somerset West has a permanent position for an Incoming QC inspector. This person will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspection of incoming material to applicable specification and standards.

**KEY TASKS**
- Verification of all incoming goods items against MICD (Mechanical interface control document), except consumables
- Verify visual aspects/appearances of raw material
- Verify electronic components and segregation for special handling
- In-house verification of measuring equipment and quality maintenance checks
- Identification, scheduling, and sending of measuring equipment for calibration
- Compiling of DSR (defectives supply reports)
- Logging of POR’s on Syspro
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by the company.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

**Experience & Knowledge**:

- Mechanical or similar qualification preferable
- +/-5 years of incoming inspector working experience
- Working knowledge of verniers, ring gauges, gauge blocks, radius gauges
- Advantageous : Bare printed circuit board inspection to IPC-A-600.
