Quality Inspector

We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector (Steel Industry) in Rustenburg

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in the steel industry. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our steel products meet the highest quality standards and specifications. You will conduct inspections, perform tests, and monitor the production process to identify any deviations or defects. Your attention to detail and knowledge of quality control procedures will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

**Responsibilities**: Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests on incoming raw materials, steel components, and finished products.
Verify that materials and products meet established quality standards, industry specifications, and customer requirements.
Utilize testing equipment and tools to assess the mechanical, chemical, and physical properties of steel products.
Identify and document any defects, non-conformities, or variations from quality standards.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and provide suggestions for process improvements.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of production lines to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
Analyse and interpret test results and generate accurate and detailed inspection reports.
Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and guidelines.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures specific to the steel industry.

**Requirements**: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education in quality control is a plus.
Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in the steel industry.
In-depth knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
Familiarity with different types of steel and their characteristics.
Proficient in reading and interpreting steel fabrication drawings and blueprints. Conduct welding inspections. Be able to write inspection reports.
Should be able to conduct dimensional checks. Proficient in using testing equipment, measuring tools, and gauges specific to the steel industry.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies. Effective communication skills to collaborate with different teams and communicate inspection results. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with mínimal supervision.
