**Job description**

We are recruiting a dynamic **SEO Content Writer **who will be responsible for conceptualising and writing content across multiple platforms and channels in line with SEO best practices. In addition, this person must have an eye for copy to write compelling content that will lead to conversion. This person must have advanced understanding of SEO technicalities and be able to both write, research and optimise content in line with SEO principles as well as for general copy requirements as and when required.

**Responsibilities**
- Writing compelling titles that capture the attention of search engine users (page titles, meta descriptions, h1s, alts, anchor text, etc.)
- Identifying, researching and conceptualising compelling content for web and other content as needed
- Creating high quality content that is relevant to the products or services being marketed and offered by our business
- Identifying keywords and phrases that are relevant to the business’s industry
- Firm grip on SEO best practices and trends that can improve organic ranking and add meaning to content that is being produced
- Writing blog posts that educate readers about topics related to the company’s products or services
- Researching topics to provide new insights or information that will interest readers
- Understanding of digital marketing practices to increase organic rank through GMB and other avenues
- Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
- Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
- Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success
- Experience with on page optimisation (advantageous)

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent
- Proven SEO experience
- Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
- Must be reliable and able to meet all deliverable deadlines
- Impeccable English, with written and verbal communication skills at an exceptional level
- A strong track record of producing content that generated increased SER
- Previous experience in ranking articles high in Google
- Passion for writing long pieces of content
- Experience in writing content on healthcare topics would be an advantage

**Salary**: From R15,000.00 per month
