Packing Supervisor

Leader in Food Manufacturing is looking for a Packing Supervisor to join their Team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the correct product is packed into the correct packaging material at the correct OEE of the equipment**:
**You are required to have the following**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Packing / Operational environment in FMCG (Food Manufacturing)
- Experience within the Milling industry
- Grade 12
- Forklift licence
- Computer Literacy. (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Work Shifts including rotational week-ends
- Management Skills
- **Needle and Sharp utensil training**:

- Customer requirements training
- **Magnet cleaning OPRP Training**:

- Working at Heights & Confined Space
- Administrative, Technical & Organizational Skills.
- Assertive and pro-active approach to the working environment.
- Task orientated and deadline driven.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Manage Packing Shift Employees
- Internal and external communication to all Packing Employees.
- Optimise packing efficiency of all packers and ensure OEE benchmarks are achieved at all times
- Quality assurance on Packing lines
- Ensure full traceability of all product through packing
- Ensure daily production planning to meet customer requirements and communicate shortages to relevant parties
- Track packing material wastage and address root causes.
- Ensure reconciliation between packed product to mill product bins and action variances to prevent product loss
- All pallets send to the warehouse, to be correct and comply to the Buffer store checklist
- Packing to consistent pack presentation and product profile.
- Ensure all packing staff are properly trained, for all food safety requirements and competency tests completed and refreshed every 6 months.
- Ensure compliance to all food safety requirements inside Packing department
- Management of measuring equipment
- Ensure a zero-tolerance approach to pest control is implemented by conducting daily inspections, site walk, intensive deep cleaning
- Ensure that forklift drivers recruited are properly qualified and existing drivers retain their licences
- Daily assessment and analyses of figures ensuring accurate results.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure Food Safety Management System (FSSC22000) is adhered to.
- 100% Relief if the Packing Manager is not available.

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Witbank, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Packing FMCG (Food Manufacturing and Milling): 3 years (required)
