Associate Architect

What will you do?
Support all Architect domains and rotate between all Technical Domains: Infrastructure, Application Dev, Data, Security, Business. Provide backup to existing Architects to maintain Business delivery and continuity.
- Support all Development, Data Engineering and Technical Agility teams with any Technical issues and solutions required. Assist with ensuring the Agile Architectural runway is setup to maximize all Agile teams’ effectiveness.
- Document Technical: Software components, versions and dependencies for each Digital Application in the SC landscape, including updating existing environment diagrams as changes are applied.
- Co-ordinate with the IT Essential Operations teams and SGT around all issues related support for all Group Hardware and Software and group compliance requirements.
- Support SC IT and Group Governance, Audit, Risk, Compliance and Legislative initiatives.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex problems and production incidents, for all SC Applications.
- Assist with evaluating Business and Technical processes and business needs relating to systems to ensure mínimal risk to the organization. Understand, comply & implement initiatives/standards to meet governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements for IT Solutions.
- Analyze and/or identify problems/requirements to determine impact, patterns and trends, best fit alternatives, and best practice IT solutions.
- Review proposed solutions and provide quality assurance on IT solutions. Provide expertise and guidance on the best method to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
- Support with all Agile practices, including PI Planning and associate’s ceremonies as required by the SC Architecture team.

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant IT tertiary qualification / Degree
- 2+ IT Experience and successfully completed the Sanlam Data and Digital Academy Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Application Development principles and SDLC process.
- Solid knowledge of Infrastructure, environment Setup and Windows Server Operating systems.
- Fair knowledge of the SC Landscape and SGT Support structures.
- Working experience of Microsoft.Net framework and MS SQL DB and/or Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Good understanding across domains, like: Security, Active Directory (policies), Networks (firewalls/gateways) and fair knowledge of the Technical Tradeoff involved in managing Business and Technical requirements Behavioural Competencies
