A vacancy exists in the Manufacturing department of Bravo Brands Manufacturing in the Lounge Division - Cape Town, for the following position:
**Production Manager**

**In line with the Bravo Group Employment Equity objectives, preference will be given to people from designated groups or as determined by the Employment Equity plan.**

To oversee the conversion of inputs (raw material) into outputs (finished goods) using physical resources (machinery, people), to
provide the desired utilities to the customer while meeting the other organizational objectives of effectiveness, efficiency, and
adaptability. To communicate effectively with management, supervisors, other employees, to achieve short and long-term goals.
Overall accountability for the attainment of the daily manufacturing plan within the correct quality standards, on time and in a safe
working environment within budget - including the accurate and timeous reporting on daily production planned vs current status.
Manage, plan, and utilise resources at optimal efficiency - formulating, planning, and implementing continuous improvement
activities and initiatives on an on-going basis, including troubleshooting and immediate decision-making to ensure targets are met.
Implement and enforce safety policies and behaviours throughout the workforce thereby supporting overall achievement of
stipulated health and safety standards.
Oversee all staff and ensure that manufacturing complies with BCEA as well as OHS legislation. Motivate and lead production staff.
Drive operational discipline through housekeeping, lean methodologies, and 5S efforts (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Oversee to it that the daily manufacturing plan is manufactured within the correct quality standards, on time and in a safe working
environment within budget - by planning and executing the inter-departmental process flows.
Keep GSM update on on-going status of all manufacturing related variables and to implement troubleshooting and fault finding to
ensure immediate corrective actions can be implemented.
Manage and ensure all resources are appropriately allocated as per the production plan together with the management of time and
attendance of all staff members.
Direct, guide, motivate and evaluate direct reports in order to achieve daily production targets. Ensure employees are following all
safety rules, lead and guide safe-work activities and motivate staff to improve safety awareness and participation.
Manage production workforce including all first line supervisors by providing continuous one-on-one coaching with direct reports to
develop leadership and decision-making skills.
Production Manager
Enforce staff compliance with all SOP’s, standards, guidelines, and prompt reporting while ensuring that the manufacturing process
runs reliably and efficiently in order to achieve production targets.
Oversee and coordinate to ensure that a stable production-delivery schedule is maintained by ensuring that line resource planning
activities are supplied as per just-in-time principles.

Diploma / NQF level 6 Essential

Engineering Sciences Production or Industrial Engineering Essential

Must have Manufacturing Experience

Strong Manufacturing experience

Strong Business Acumen
