This role entails processing multiple payrolls (monthly and weekly) and ensuring that the payroll and systems are maintained and updated accordingly.

**Job objectives**:

- Processing wages and salary payroll accurately within specified deadlines
- Ensuring accuracy of information imported into the VIP Payroll system
- Management of leave
- Responsible for the take-on of new employees onto the Payroll Systems
- Responsible for the termination of employees on the payroll and HRIS systems as well as ensuring termination pay-outs are authorised and correct
- Manage salary and wage annual reviews
- Implement Provident / Pension Fund / Level Annual increases
- Review and reconcile the weekly and monthly payrolls to ensure that employer and employee contributions are balanced
- Responsible for Statutory and Mandatory filing and reporting, including EMP 201, SARS submissions, UIF submissions, MIBFA / MIBCO submissions and Sanlam Provident Fund contributions
- Responsible for statutory deductions such as PAYE, UIF, MIBFA and MIBCO
- Evaluate the headcount versus payroll ration to ensure that no discrepancies exist
- Ensure all payslip deductions reconcile to the GL Export
- Report writing on Sage BIM
- Balance of the MIBCO schedules to the payroll
- HRIS Systems administration
- Maintain and update payroll dashboards
- Create ad-hoc reports for management
- Evaluate Payroll training needs and present viable training solutions to HR

**Technical Skills and knowledge**:

- Working knowledge and experience with Sage VIP and Premier HR / ESS
- Experience working with Time and Attendance Systems
- Proficient in Office 365
- In-depth understanding of payroll processing, deductions and regulatory submissions
