JOB SUMMARY: The Duty Manager is accountable for coordinating and overseeing services and support related to first line response, surveillance, security and risk management as well as organises and allocates the necessary resources within an assigned area of the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Incident Response & Investigation
- Coordinate and oversee responses to alerts / incidents and / or attendance to crime or accident scenes.
- Ensure compliance to prescribed security protocols, procedures, legal requirements and standards.
- Monitor and oversee the physical collection, recording and safeguarding of all evidence, exhibits and articles.
- Provide leadership with regard to suspect apprehension and interviews.
- Monitor and / or facilitate interviews with witnesses.
- Presentation of evidence and expertise in a Court of Law.

Safety, Health & Environment
- Encourage and ensure reporting of all SHE incidents and breaches, including road safety.
- Advise and ensure the safe and secure handling and utilization of resources.
- Lead or participate in all SHE related meetings and campaigns.
- Coordinate support provided to SHE and response teams during incidents.

Administration
- Ensure proper preparation and compilation of all relevant incident documentation.
- Scrutinize all documentation.
- Effective handing over of relevant documentation.
- Allocate stationary and applicable resources.
- Ensure that all documentation within the role holder’s responsibility is auctioned.
- Review and consolidation of data and information.
- Review and analysis of incident / shift reports.

Stakeholder Liaising
- Provision of feedback and relevant information to customers related to incidents.
- Advise stakeholders on security and risk management best practices.
- Resolve or escalate unresolved stakeholder queries.

Resources
- Allocation of resources.
- Ensure compliance to specific resources inspection and handling procedures.
- Conduct ad hoc inspections on resources and utilization.
- Reporting resources defects on a continuous basis.

Risk Mitigation & Asset Loss Prevention
- Coordinate and oversee inspections and patrols in assigned areas.
- Review reports related to substandard practices.
- Validate and action immediate corrections.
- Implement solutions related to preventative / mitigation measures.
- Follow up on corrective measures and effectiveness.

People Management
- Identify training and development needs of immediate reports.
- Manage team and individual performance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Full fluency in English
- Very strong organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage own time and workload
- No criminal history or record
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to work flexi hours when required
- Adaptable to regular change

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 (matric)
- Valid Grade A PSIRA minimum
- Demonstrated leadership experience of at least two (2) years
- Excellent communication skills - client engagement, members of public and management
- Solid working knowledge of team/staff management
- Experience with investigation report compilation
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
