Forklift Driver- Ctp Newspapers

CTP Newspapers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Forklift Driver. The Forklift Driver will report to the Production Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Adhere to health and safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Loading of product within the required turnaround times.
- Ensuring that the correct product is loaded and that it conforms to the necessary quality standards as per the delivery note.
- Stacking raw materials and finished products as per the required floor plan.
- Perform all forklift and operating requirements of the department such as the movement of pallets and reels (not limited to these areas).
- Minor administrative tasks
- Conduct forklift checks and maintenance tasks daily (this is mandatory).
- Help in other areas with packing and stacking as and when required
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Production Manager.
- Assist in the mailroom making out delivery notes.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Valid forklift/clamp licence is required.
- Minimum Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent thereof is advantageous
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with a forklift driver role within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work under pressure and a proven ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with suppliers and contractors.
- Must be able to follow procedures strictly.
- Proven history of reliability, timekeeping and attendance.
- Attention to detail as well as accuracy
- Flexible and open to helping in other areas and not just operating the forklift/clamp
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Attend all training programmes identified for the position and department is compulsory
- Willing to work shifts (both day, night and weekends) and overtime as and when required
- Basic computer skills/ Microsoft office.

**Type**:
Permanent (with 6 months’ probation)

**Standard Hours**

Will be required to work shifts and occasional overtime

A market related wage is offered based on experience and skills set
