**Reports**: Maintenance Instrumentation Team Leader**Job Purpose**
- Install, test, and do fault-finding on instrumentation and control systems. Reduce breakdowns affecting the production machinery through performing planned preventative maintenance to ensure that the plant is functioning at optimal efficiency, with mínimal downtime
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that routine maintenance work is carried out in accordance with maintenance schedules; work instructions; works procedures; and quality assurance plans while making sure that work complies to accepted safety standards and maintaining high levels of workmanship.
- Ensure that planned repair work and restored breakdowns are carried out with minimum delay.
- Adhere and support the maintenance philosophy for each item of control equipment and engineering service to ensure maximum plant availability
- Adhere and update schedules for preventative maintenance service equipment in order to ensure high standards of maintenance.
- Record all the work done on maintenance schedules and report any adverse plant conditions to the maintenance
- supervisor to ensure good standards of maintenance records.
- Adhere to and make use of the relevant designs and drawings to ensure that repairs are done to the required
- specifications.
- To adhere and be responsible for maintaining ISO 9000 standards in areas of plant and equipment to ensure legal compliance.**Inherent Requirements**
**Qualifications**
- Trade Certificate - Instrumentation
- N3 Certificate
- Grade 12
**Knowledge**
- Thermocouples and pyrometer working knowledge
- Installation of inspection/ camera systems
- Robotics knowledge
- Knowledge of instrumentation
- Knowledge of safety standards
- Knowledge of pneumatics
- Knowledge of PLC and VSD
**Experience**
- 3 - 5 years in a manufacturing environment**What Qualification**
