**Endpoint Security Operations Specialist (Financial Services)**

**Location: Hybrid/ Pretoria, Gauteng**

**Position Overview**:
There is an exciting new vacancy available for an **Endpoint Security Operations Specialist **at a leading **financial** **services** **group**, **within their **Business Solutions and Technology Department**.
- The main purpose of this position is to_**_ implement, maintain and support cybersecurity tools, technologies, and solutions_**_._

**Key Performance Areas**:

- _Develop and maintain _**_information technology (IT) security standards and procedures_**_._
- **_Identify and categorise new IT security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks_**_. _
- _Proactively and timeously _**_assess the vulnerability of infrastructure to threats_**_, _**_diagnose_**_ _**_problems_**_ and _**_customise solutions_**_._
- _Administer and maintain _**_IT security systems and solutions_**_. _
- _Provide meaningful _**_IT security metrics and reporting_**_. _
- _Participate in_**_ IT security projects aimed_**_ at _**_improving IT security_**_. _
- _Troubleshoot identified _**_IT security incidents_**_ (_**_second and third-level support_**_)._
- _Participate during the _**_planned and unplanned IT systems recovery process_**_._
- **_Participate in IT security audits_**_._

**To be considered for this position, one must have**:

- A **completed Bachelor’s degree in IT** or an equivalent **NQF 7 qualification**.
- **Internationally Recognised Security Original Equipment** **Manufacturer (OEM) Product-Specific** **Certifications** (e.g., **Microsoft, Symantec, Sophos**, and **MacAfee**).
- **Certification **as a** Certified Incident Handler (GCIH),** **Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH)** or **Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) **is essential**.**:

- A **minimum of 8 to 10 years’ IT experience**, of which a minimum of **3 years must be in IT security.**:

- **Knowledge and skill in**: _Quality Assurance, IT Enablement Planning, IT Enablement Reporting, Security Operations Administration, Business Continuity, and Capacity and Performance Management._
