**The Role**: (Senior) Analyst - Automotive Planning Solutions: Forecast Intelligence and Strategy

**The Team**:
S&P Global Mobility is looking to strengthen the Automotive Planning Solutions team in South Africa and is seeking an experienced professional with expertise in core areas shaping automotive OEM´s strategic product planning, particularly areas such as powertrain electrification, vehicle portfolio planning and pricing & positioning.

**The Impact**:
As member of our team, you will have responsibility for developing and delivering the ‘OEM Framework’ which guides future vehicle assumptions for our forecast and thereby support automotive OEMs, suppliers and new mobility players in their business planning. Besides working closely with the experts of our various forecast planning units, you will also be involved in customer engagements.

**Responsibilities**:
Establish a profound-expertise of the automotive market and its entire value chain to provide strategic assessments of the mid
- to long-term OEM portfolio developments. Become a contributor to our monthly model policy decision-making, which triggers subsequent forecast updates.
Support the coordination of future forecast intelligence gathering across the different planning solutions divisions.
Analyse and understand new and upcoming trends affecting the automotive market and derive direct implications for the industry.
Provide analysis and commentary supporting vehicle forecasts. On that basis, also support client relationships through presentations of our OEM Framework assumptions.

**What We’re Looking For**:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, or alternatively with a technical background, esp. in areas around electrification. Master´s degree of advantage.
High analytical and problem-solving skills. Also, the ability to learn new skills and gain knowledge in new topics on an ongoing basis.
Strong communication skills, especially regarding the convincing presentation of forecast assumptions and analysis findings to internal and external partners.
High degree of personal integrity, motivation and commitment to deliver quality on time.
Proficiency in MS Office, esp. Excel and PowerPoint. First experience with data analytics software such as Tableau / PowerBi are a plus but not a requirement.
