What you’ll be doing

You’ll be reporting to the Commercial and Finance Manager that is in need of a right hand.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date financial records, recording financial transactions on Acumatica (ERP system), processing creditors and debtors transactions, reconciling bank and credit card statements and assisting with year-end financial audits.

Where you’ll be doing it

This role is office based, at their operations in Epping, Monday to Thursday 8am to 16:45 and Fridays till 15:30. While this is a national company with around 400 employees, with offices also in Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal, there is a small office in Cape Town of around 13 employees, the remainder of around 50 to 70 employees work in the factory.

The company manufacturers premium quality electrical related products and sell to a variety of industries. They are experiencing large growth and are constantly expanding their offerings which are also custom made. They are the leaders in their field and value their relationships with their clients and employees.

They have a nice working environment and foster a culture of development where they do look to encourage growth from within. Quite a few employees have been there for many years. They have a month’s shut down at year end which means you’ll need to accumulate your leave for that period.

What you’ll need

A financial tertiary qualification will be preferred with around 5 years’ experience in a financial assistant type role, you must have debtors and creditors experience. You will need to be computer literate, working well on MS Office with some experience in a financial / ERP type computer package. We are looking for SA Citizens only with a clear criminal and credit record.

You would need to have excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organizational and problem-solving skills. You’re reliable, have a stable track record, have integrity, are self-motivated and have good timekeeping and record keeping skills. You’ll need to work well under pressure and would be great if you come from a manufacturing / engineering type company.
