**OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE**

A permanent position exists for an Account Manager (post-Investment monitoring and support) within the Partnership Programmes Department of the IDC (KIPP Fund). The position will be based at the IDC Head Office in Sandton and the incumbent will report to the Head: Partnership Programmes Department.

Main Purpose of the Job:
To partner with the Head of department and the KIPP Fund team in building and managing the Unit’s portfolio to ensure the correct and timeous implementation of approved transactions, monitoring and management of business partner relationships and protection of IDC’s interests.

Key functions of the position include:

- Oversee the monitoring and management of existing and newly acquired investments in the KIPP unit’s portfolio, which includes amongst others the following roles:

- BP reviews, undertakings and other contractual and regulatory compliance matters;
- Application of fund assessments;
- AFS and management account assessment against budgets and forecasted performance;
- Fair value and impairment assessments;
- Risk grading and collateral confirmation as inputs into impairment processes;
- Assistance with cashflow management (including input and execution of timeous disbursements and collections encompassing accurate forecasting measured against actual performance);
- Assistance in strategy and value creation for business partners where relevant;
- Development impact monitoring and trend analysis; and
- Develop, prioritise and monitor exits, value creation and / or intervention plans for investments.
- Partner with the team in building and managing the post investment role to fulfil the mandate of the department in line with specific policies and systems & procedures.
- Portfolios management and administration overseeing engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- To review the necessary reports to management, various committees and external funders.
- Manage and review key Post Investment management processes and procedures on a regular basis.
- Ensure that the team is familiar with all the relevant terms and conditions of the contractual relationship between IDC and its business partner.
- Ensure that early warnings signals and other key risks factors are proactively identified by the team.
- Manage the disbursement process
- Conduct site visits on the portfolio of clients
- Design and compile reports and checklists to ensure efficient and effective monitoring of investments.
- Assist the unit management team and the department in the development of annual business plans and formulation and implementation of strategies to execute the role of the department.

Qualifications:

- BCom accounting / auditing or similar degree

**Experience**:

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Post Investment Management role and/or credit monitoring / due diligence in a finance / banking environment with experience in drawdowns and exit processes, strategy formulation and implementation of portfolio management.
- Project management experience.
