QSHE Control Officer

We are looking for an experienced QSHE Control Officer to join us in driving significance together.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The QSHE Officer role requires creative problem solving and risk management approach to introduce and develop ISO 9001 with in Moyo Africa, fill the companys safety requirements in-house, as well as for our teams and clients on projects in the field.

Required Qualifications:

- 4 years relevant experience
- Tertiary qualification (degree, diploma or national certificate) in Health and Safety Management (Diploma of 1 to 3 years / NQF level 6)
- Maintain ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 certification
- Certificated Auditor ISO 9001
- MHSA & OSHA training beneficial
- Own reliable transport and valid drivers license

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, or ISO 45001 systems and auditing desirable
- Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality management systems and tools
- Experience and understanding of Lean, Preventive maintenance principles, or Six Sigma beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and diplomacy
- Mine and Processing plant contractor onboarding experience beneficial.
- Excellent administrative skills.
- An understanding of the various Moyo processes will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental support and guidance across to various teams across our clients sites.
- Be a role model for the Moyo values and provide visible felt leadership for SHEQ.
- Proactively identify and act upon QSHE-related risks and opportunities and prioritise appropriately.
- Support and manage SHEQ improvement projects and initiatives.
- Development of the ISO system in order for Moyo to get ISO Accreditation in 2023
- Development and Implementation of an IMS system with in the current Moyo environment and systems
- Liaise directly with the innovation projects to understand their needs, challenge approaches, and provide support and guidance.
- Lease with HR to ensure all project resources are trained and competent to perform their duties. Deliver QSHE training such as toolbox talks and inductions but not limited to. Support site specific training needs.
- Ensure emergency response processes are in place.
- Lead weekly HSE reviews with local team and regular HSE committee meetings.
- Carry out process audits, risk management initiatives & training.
- Be a point of contact for QSHE, supporting and/or leading investigations into SHEQ issues.
- Manage the Onboarding of project resources on to sites. Engaging with the relevant parties and maintaining good relations with them in order to streamline the onboarding process.
