This includes conducting training; assessment & invigilation as well as drive the development and expansion of the faculty offerings and its delivery methods.

**Position Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Facilitating student learning through interactive teaching that promotes student engagement and support the student learning experience.
- Setting and conducting of assessments, marking, and providing meaningful feedback.
- Contributing to programme and content development, and improvement of resources.
- Undertaking relevant academic administration activities.
- Ensuring a positive student experience, providing student support, and maintaining excellent customer service.
- Maintaining strong working relationships within the department and with other departments.
- Prepare Comprehensive briefs and marking schedules are available to students at the start of the project. Briefs include aims, learning outcomes, submission requirements, assessment criteria, references, and additional resources.
- Keep themselves informed and abreast of developments in their field.
- Inform students about the assessment methods, procedures and regulations as contained in briefs and the assessment policy.
- The lecturer is perceived as fair, approachable and supportive.
- Promote student success through initiatives that see improved student retention and throughput rates.
- Identify at-risk students and implement strategies to assist these students.
- Build and maintain communities of learning and communities of practice.

**Application Requirements**:

- MA in Interior Design / Architecture.
- Teaching experience at Higher Education level.
- Experience supervising Honours level research.
- Experience in the practice / profession of Interior Design / Architecture.
- Ability to understand, use and learn new technology.
- Advanced understanding of business processes, the analysis and optimization thereof.
- Advanced computer and office programs literacy.
- The following will be a distinct advantage:

- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Ecotect, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp and Adobe CC
- Record of published research
- Qualification in education (PGCHE, Assessor training etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- De Waterkant, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Masters (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching at a Higher Education level: 3 years (preferred)
- Industry: 1 year (preferred)
