Our Client, a large, leading, international law firm has a position available for a Senior Associate in their Banking, Corporate and Finance Department.

- Actively works to develop and strengthen new client relationships.

- Acts as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise, mentoring juniors colleagues in the team;
- Has strong relationships and profile amongst all colleagues
- Ability to work effectively with others.

- Understands the industry and market in which the practice stream and clients operate
- Contributes to the management of the group/practice area by understanding the areas of specialism, the firm’s capabilities and business plan
- Takes an active role in managing the firm's reputation both in and out of work
- Understands the responsibility to give back to our communities
- Understands the value of a diverse workforce

**Qualifications,** **skills** **and experience**

Experience gained within a top tier international firm is preferred.
- strong communication and analytical skills and a high level of commercial awareness;
- outstanding technical drafting abilities, being familiar with LMA style documents as well as more bespoke financing documents
- strong technical legal skills and analytical and problem solving skills
- extensive cross border transactional experience, ideally with an international firm
- a solid understanding of project finance ideally in the energy sector
- experience working with DFIs will be beneficial
- an ability to work to deadlines, prioritising work and meeting conflicting demands on time
- demonstrable abilities to build and grow relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team
- a commercial appreciation of personal and team’s link to achieving financial targets (e.g. utilisation, realisation, work in progress);

**Technical Ability**
- Understanding of legal principles of own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas
- Has project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards
- Stays aware of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and
- regularly attends appropriate training sessions
- Undertakes training of junior colleagues in technical areas of knowledge and skill.
