JPM Payments - Payments Sales Manager - Executive Director (Johannesburg): We are looking for an ED to join our EMEA Payments Team. The Payments Sales Manager (PSM) will have responsibility for the maintaining and growing the Payments business portfolio for JP Morgan in Sub Saharan Africa. The Payments Sales Manager will collaborate and partner closely with the Banking and Product leaders to integrate and develop comprehensive strategies to grow our revenue. This person will lead proactive client pursuits, collaborate with internal partners, and develop compelling payments solutions to meet the strategic client needs globally.

We are looking for an ED to join our EMEA payments Team in South Africa. The Payments Sales Manager (PSM) will have responsibility for the maintaining and growing the Payments business portfolio for JP Morgan in Sub Saharan Africa. The Payments Sales Manager will collaborate and partner closely with the Banking and Product leaders globally to integrate and develop comprehensive strategies to grow our revenue. This person will lead proactive client pursuits, collaborate with internal partners, and develop compelling payments solutions to meet the strategic client needs globally.
- Achieve new business goals, including the annual sales plan at target margins by identifying prospects/opportunities, developing the approach/calling plans and engaging partners/ senior managers to influence decision makers at prospective clients.
- Execute sales strategy in conjunction with other LOB's including, Global Corporate Bank and, Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Credit, Legal and other areas to optimize product and service delivery in order to win and implement new opportunities
- Maximize JPMorgan Payments profitability with clients through pricing of new business wins, product extensions, and cross-selling other JPM products
- Implement and support ongoing client strategy and coordinate cross-sell opportunities with other parts of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB)
- Provide compelling financial and market analysis to support financial proposals for new business
- Leverage expert cross-functional business knowledge, financial acumen, strong internal relationships, and exceptional leadership skills to make significant and impactful decisions
- Represent the \"voice of the client" for Sub-Saharan Africa corporates and manage revenue vulnerability and client loss through a deep understanding of the client's needs and identification of product and service delivery gaps
- Possess an understanding of the business including financial performance benchmarks, key challenges, and opportunities, and the competitive landscape
- Be a strategic thinker who supports the goals and direction of JPM Payments and the firm
- Demonstrate best in class communication skills, including influencing, negotiation and collaboration
- Participate in external industry events to ensure market visibility for the JPM franchise with identified market segment.

**Minimum Skills Required**:

- Able to demonstrate extensive level of experience & knowledge in a sales role focused on providing payments services to large, complex clients
- Demonstrated ability to identify new prospects, build pipeline, and execute new sales
- A Deep knowledge of payments system rules, ecosystems, products, and services in South Africa
- An In-depth Knowledge of exchange control regulations and considerations in South Africa
- Proven leadership skills in developing and building collaborative partnerships Cross-LOB with key stakeholders to achieve firm-wide objectives
- Proven experience utilizing data and information to drive business results, compelling recommendations and inform effective decision making:

- Financial and market analysis to support proposals for new business and renewals
- Sales metrics and reporting tools to analyze cause and effect, and effectively manage sales force and relationship managers
- Strong executive presence and experience speaking in public forums
- Strong knowledge of the African market with emphasis on payments and all areas of the competitive landscape
- Providing insight and collaborate in product development initiatives helping position solutions to client markets globally
- Monitors the industry's competitive landscape, predicting trends in client requirements and driving development of solutions
- Abreast of global and local developments in payment solutions through engagement with industry stakeholders

**Minimum Education Required**:

- BA/BS degree and/ or relevant professional experience / MBA preferred or equivalent experience
