Job description / core competencies:
a) Quality Management:

- Follow Engineering processes based on global best practices and relevant international standards. (ISO 9001, OHS Act, MHS Act of SA, IMS policies and procedures)
- Reviewing drawings and standards in accordance with BS308.
- Create drawings in accordance with BS308 and SANS 10111.

b) Drawings:

- Follow Drawing Office Procedure: S01-00150-007-01
- Create and maintain product specific design and drawing information:
Create drawings to IMS standards.
ii. Maintain drawings to IMS standards.
- Design
Concept
- Layouts And general arrangements
- Prototype development according to Engineering inputs
Basic
- Design for form, fit, function according to relevant standards.
Detail
- Create accurate 3D models.
- Create manufacturing drawings.
- Create QRL’s
- Maintain drawing information.
- Use of Engineering Systems:

- BAAN
- Vault Document Management System
- Information Systems

ii. QRL Register

c) General:

- Needs analysis.
- Assisting with queries (Drawing and design information)

Job Qualification & Experience:
QUALIFICATION: Draughting Certificate or Diploma

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position
REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Advanced knowledge of 3D CAD Software such as Inventor (preferred) or Solidworks, SolidEdge, Fusion 360.
- Excellent Knowledge of AutoCAD Software
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes andprocedures
- Piping design experience will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of relevant SANS and Anglo structuraldesign standards will be an advantage.
- Workshop/ Site experience will be an advantage.
- Working to a high level of Detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Good time management
- Self-motivated
- Adaptability
- Good Health with ability to walk around a mine site.
- Own transport / valid driver’s license.
