Artisan: Humidity

**Purpose**

To maintain, repair and install all environmental heating equipment within the South African Bank Note Company.

**Main Responsibilities (not limited to)**:

- To ensure sufficient water supply to heating boilers for production needs.
- Ensures water goes through the right direction through effective management of waste water streams.
- Diagnose the cause of problems or failures in heating portion of the HVAC system for the purpose of identifying equipment or systems repair and/or replacement.
- Install heating equipment and ventilation systems.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance of commercial rooftop heating to maintain their reliability.
- Repair and maintain the boilers.
- Ensure that tasks assigned in projects are completed according to good workmanship.
- Ensure compliance to ISO system within the facilities maintenance section.
- Responsible to ensure all practices are aligned with required SHE legislation, standards and policies.
- To ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements for both SABN employees and contractors.
- To identify hazards associated with assigned tasks and escalating hazards that cannot be mitigated.
- Grade 12
- N3 Engineering and Fitter Trade Certificate
- Occupational Certificate: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic
- 3-5 years’ experience as an Artisan in the HVAC environment
