Section Supervisor

**Tzaneen - Limpopo Province**:
**ROLE- ORCHARD SUPERVISOR**

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:

- Assign duties or work schedules to employees on a daily basis and monitor progress to ensure that tasks are executed efficiently.
- Train team to be able to efficiently weed, slash, plant, irrigate, prune, fertilize and conduct all necessary activities to improve health of trees.
- Consistent inspection of the overall health of the Orchard, identifying problem trees and making recommendations to remedy to the farm manager.
- Scouting and recording of pest loads and locations including the management of traps and bait stations.
- Supervise and monitor teams to ensure proper use of equipment to prevent damage to trees and equipment.
- Monitoring and management of your team in the execution of their assigned daily, weekly and/or periodic duties including irrigation, weeding, pruning, slashing, infrastructure repairs, picking and all other activity related to the care, maintenance and upkeep or your section.
- Report any incidents to the farm manager on a daily basis.
- Responsible for the maintenance and safekeeping of equipment assigned to you and your team.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in an orchard farming operation
- Sound experience in operating tractors, harvesters, sprayers tillage machinery and fertilizer handling equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and work in a team.
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with irrigation systems
- A self-motivated person who can work independently and is results driven

**Salary**: R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tzaneen, Limpopo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Supervisory role in Orchard Farm: 5 years (required)
