Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) needed to be based in Morningside, Johannesburg and reporting to the Industry Projects & Operations Manager, and with prior experience in engineering or manufacturing industries with exposure to Operations in an international environment.

**Position details**:
Type: Contract

Job description / core competencies:
Carry out inspection and testing work to industry specifications, whether on site or in workshops.

Perform load tests as per OHSACT requirements. Complete necessary paperwork in line with set procedures industry specifications.

Assisting with repairs and servicing of lifting equipment where required.

Working in a fast-paced office environment completing administration work.

Able to pick up new systems quickly that may be very technical.

Adhering to regulations surrounding health and safety, quality, and environmental protection.

Travelling between different sites and workshops to work on common bits of construction kitTo market these facilities within capabilities and visit customers on a regular basis as required.

To initiate and maintain a realistic costing system for Sales and Marketing and work within allocated budgets.

To convene and manage symposia, exhibitions, seminars and conferences in terms of Company Brand awareness and promotion of various business units.

To deliver and execute presentations to current and prospective detailing business scope of practice including project specific detailing.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Minimum 5 years with similar role experience in relation to the Lifting Machinery Industry.

Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) Registered with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) and qualification in any technical trade.

Advanced knowledge of Driven Machinery Regulations 18(5) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

Knowledge ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Experience in engineering or manufacturing industries with exposure to Operations in an international environment.

Able to carry out several tasks concurrently and deliver timely,

Teamwork & Communication: fluent in English oral and written, open to support others, Open mind and willing to learning new skills,

Proficiency in using computer (usual MS suite: Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook ), experience in writing procedures or reports is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail.

Planning & organising.

Knowledge of lifting equipment, machinery, and technical aspects of construction.

Analysis & problem solving.

Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements.
