Safe operation of the Underground locomotive
- Perform all required safety checks prior to operation
- Load and unload, equipment ore or passengers
- Monitor track conditions and tip conditions
- Transportation of explosives
- Grade 9 or equivalent ABET Level 4
- Be in possession of a Loco Operator competency certificate/license
- Competent B Certificate advantageous
- Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness to work in Mines if successful
- Minimum 1 year’s operational experience as a Loco Operator
- Communication skills
- Clear criminal record
