**Purpose of the Role**

**The purpose of this job is to assist customers by helping them choose a product that is best suitable for whatever need the customer has, in such a manner that the assistance of the Sales person is appreciated by the customer when he/she purchases any product. This will includethe ability to provide good customer service in such a manner that customer satisfaction is achieved, resulting in generating sales.**

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Attend to customers in a professional and helpful manner

2. Generate more sales, ensure customer satisfaction, by providing excellent customer service

3. Determine customer requirements and advising on products, price, delivery, warranties as well as product use and care.

4. Advise customers with regards to range of products, which product would be best; in order to satisfy the customers’ needs

5. Demonstrate and explain the company’s product types

6. Assist with the ongoing management of stock such as product inventories and participating in stock takes

7. Attend to relevant admin tasks including up keep of customer book, special orders file, forwarding of invoices and other relevant paperwork

8. Ensure merchandising is done according to company’s merchandising standards and that the products are priced correctly

9. Participate in perpetual stocktakes

10. Ensure good housekeeping of work area

11. Perform any work related task as delegated by superior

**Experience**:

- Electrical: 3 years (preferred)
