***ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING IN-SERVICE TRAINEE (2 POSITIONS) - 24 MONTHS CONTRACT**

**_ Reporting to the Operations Manager,_** the trainee in this role will be provided with practical Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience to complete and obtain the qualification. The incumbent will be exposed to a wide variety of satellite ground station operations and activities which involve working with antenna systems and equipment to facilitate (i) the direct reception of Earth-Observation satellite data and related services, (ii) participating in the provision of Tracking, Telemetry, and Command (TT&C) services, satellite operations, and monitoring services, to our partners, customers, and stakeholders. which include international space agencies and satellite operators.

Key learning areas will include, but are not limited to:

- Operate, maintain, and monitor antenna systems, Radio Frequency (RF), electronic, telecommunications, and computer hardware or software systems and equipment associated with satellite ground station operations.
- Participate in rendering specialized Tracking, Telemetry & Command (TT&C) launch support services to SLVs (Satellite launch vehicles) Transfer-Orbit Support (TOS), Launch and Early-Orbit Phase (LEOP), Emergency, In-Orbit Test (IOT) services, routine life-cycle support operations, etc.
- To conduct routine preventative maintenance and first-line reactive maintenance, to SANSA-owned or stakeholder or customer-owned systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- To participate in ad-hoc project work and the opportunity to work on, or add value to existing or new projects, systems, and processes.

**Location: Hartebeesthoek**
- S3/S4 Electronic Engineering qualification with good academic results specializing in telecommunications.
- Final year of studies and in search of P1 and P2 in-service training to complete the qualification.
- Satellite Technology coursework.
- Proficient in the English language and good communication skills.
- Computer skills.
- Must be able to use both hands and have good vision.
