**Senior Human Resources Business Partner/HRBP IV/South Africa**
Position Title: P&T People Partner
Location: Johannesburg
Employment Status: Full Time
To proactively support the management team in achieving business objectives by managing the following functions:
- Develop strategic relationships with key leaders to ensure that the people implications of business decisions are understood and addressed
- Support HR Centers of Expertise to design HR programs that are in alignment with business strategies and plans
- Broker HR services for business units (interacts with Center of Expertise/Shared Services Center)
- Develop the business unit workforce plan for supported groups, providing a forward looking view of the talent needs to support the business
- Day to day HR support for line management and employees
- Employee Relations
- Manage the organization’s compliance with local laws and regulations, to include Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and related programs
**Responsibilities**:
This person will be able to positively influence change across the organization and must be able to partner with the assigned local leadership team(s) in defining talent needs and developing the scope of people related projects. This position requires the ability to set and manage to tight timelines and partner well within the IGT organizations in an ever-changing environment. This position will report to the Senior Director People &Transformation for the Supply Chain and Services organization and will support employees from multiple business segments located in South Africa.
- Handle all escalated employee relations issues and concerns working with internal partners and senior leaders to determine resolutions. Must be experienced with internal investigatory processes and how to ensure outcomes are fair, consistent, and compliant with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Coach and consult with managers and team members on various people issues by:
- identifying and clarifying problems;
- evaluating and implementing solutions;
- following up as needed.
- Drive the annual performance and compensation review processes for assigned groups. Ensure compliance with compensation guidelines and approvals. Provide input on salary recommendations.
- With site and functional leadership, drive regular talent and succession planning sessions and implement action plans to ensure succession ready bench and development of high potential employees.
- Support fellow team members on projects that support designated client groups and/or company-wide people focused initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements by staying abreast of existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for local employee questions and concerns regarding company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with assigned employee groups and their management to drive identified strategic and tactical people practices such as workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion into regular business operations,
- Establish rapport and create open lines of communication across functions and locations.
- Understand the drivers of employee engagement and work to continuously improve the work environment and organization culture.
- Understand the IGT People Strategy and your role in helping IGT to achieve its objectives through talented and engaged employees.
